Lobster dipthyc

"Singapore's culture of eating is a culture of eating out (...) Statistics can be interesting, and they do tell a story, but words best capture the vignettes of everyday life. For most Singaporeans, makan (the colloquial term for "eat") means many things: it is about the flavour and presentation of the food, the quality of the service and the spontaneity and casual style of dining."

Singapore Hawker Centres

"Singapore has a national pastime called "eating". This enthusiasm supports the large variety and number of food establishments in Singapore- at last count, more than 10.000, including hawkers. For food enthusiasts, it is a blessing indeed that, in Singapore, eating is more than a mundane biological necessity. It is a culture, a passion, a leissure activity-indeed, an addiction"

About Me

My photo
